Standardized Food Allergen Extracts
OrallogIX produces fully characterized, food-grade allergen extracts at concentrations and consistency that set a new standard for the industry.
Who We Are
OrallogIX was founded by food allergy researchers with decades of combined experience in allergen biochemistry and extract development. We identified a gap in the market: researchers and clinicians need access to food allergen extracts that are rigorously produced, fully characterized, and available at meaningful concentrations.
Our team brings deep expertise from leading academic food allergy programs, and we apply that scientific rigor to every lot we produce. We develop and manufacture our extracts at BioLabs, a fully equipped life sciences facility with specialized equipment, advanced infrastructure, and dedicated scientific support.
Mike has worked in the food allergy immunotherapy space for over 20 years, including manufacturing food allergen products for clinical trials of OIT and SLIT. He has co-authored >100 publications in the field from his research studies at Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill. Mike earned his BS at Cornell University and PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology, both in biochemistry.
Earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Food Science & Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, working with the Food Allergy Research and Resource Program (FARRP). Jess is currently a PhD candidate at UNC. Jess brings deep expertise in food allergen biochemistry and extract standardization.
Our Product
Every lot undergoes extensive protein profiling. Independent testing by accredited laboratories confirms the sterility and potency of every production lot. You will receive a transparent and comprehensive Certificate of Analysis with every lot.
All our extracts are produced at a standardized concentration approximately double that of alternatives currently available. Higher concentration means greater flexibility for your needs. With our combined decades of experience, we are able to fulfill bulk orders with volume-based discounted pricing.
Starting in mid-2026, we will be offering peanut, milk, egg, cashew, walnut, hazelnut, and sesame extracts. We plan to launch more extracts in late 2026.
Our founding team has published extensively on food allergen biochemistry and extract standardization. We've dedicated our careers to this science, and we look forward to bringing the highest quality food allergen extracts to market.
Frequently Asked Questions
OrallogIX produces highly standardized and characterized, food-grade allergen extracts derived from whole food sources. Each extract is a characterized protein preparation with a known composition and concentration, produced under controlled conditions and verified by third-party laboratories.
Every production lot for each food extract undergoes SDS-PAGE protein profiling to confirm the expected protein banding pattern as well as an assay to determine protein content. Additionally, each lot is independently validated by accredited third-party laboratories for allergenic component content and to ensure sterility. We provide a full Certificate of Analysis (CoA) with each order.
Our food allergen extracts are made to be at a standardized concentration that is approximately double the concentration offered by most alternatives currently on the market. As scientists, we know that this provides greater flexibility in how the product is used.
